Student Profile

ELIGIBLE STUDENTS

– student to be eligible for admission to a college course shall;

a. be a graduate of duly approved academic secondary school
b. pass the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE)
c. pass the College Entrance Examination (CEE)

– Upon applying for enrollment the following credentials shall be presented:
a. Form 138 (Fourth year High School Card)
b. Recommendation of good moral character from the high school principal of his/her former school.
c. Two (2) copies of recent photograph size 1”x1”
d. Two (2) copies of recent photograph size 2”x2”
e. Entrance exam result

– Qualifications for admission into the Freshmen Year:

NCEE CEE
Technological Course 85 A
Non-Technological Course Any Passing Grade B
Education Courses 60 B

Native Born Aliens, Permanent Resident Aliens, Naturalized Filipino Citizens

Student falling under the classification of Native Born Aliens and Permanent Resident Aliens should submit a photostatic copy of their Alien Certification of Registration (ACR) previously verified against the original by the CHED.

The Naturalized Filipino Citizen shall present a photostatic copy of his naturalization papers.
The name of the student appearing in his/her ACR and study permit shall be the name used in the scholastic records.

TRANSFER STUDENTS

The school reserves the right to withhold admission to transfer if she is not satisfied with the transferee’s scholastic record and moral conduct which the school prescribes.
Transferees will be accepted only following accommodation of old SMII students subject to further availability and freshman students will be given priority to enroll if accommodations are still available.

– A student transferring from another school shall be admitted subject to good moral standing and upon satisfying the following academic requirements:
a. he must have passed all his registered units in his previous school
b. he must not have incurred any grade of dropped or incomplete

– Transfer students shall be credited for units earned elsewhere to a maximum of 1/3 of the total units in the major field of study required for graduation in SMII school, such credits representing subjects in the curriculum of the school. If such students do not agree to complete 2/3 of the major field required by the curriculum of SMII school, they shall not be accepted.

– Applicants for transfer may be required to repeat some subjects which were previously completed with the lowest passing grade, upon the discretion of the Dean.

– Prospective transferees shall have their academic work done in previous schools evaluated at SMII school.

– The transferring student upon applying for admission shall present the ff:
a. letter of application addressed to the College Registrar of SMII
b. True copy of Grades
c. certificate of Good moral character
d. Four (4) copies of photo 1”x1” and 2”x2”

– The transferring student need not secure his/her honorable dismissal or transfer credential while he is in the process of applying.
He has only to present this after being assured of admission to the school.
– The office of the Registrar shall have the right to suspend the regulations and admission of the transfer students for reasons beneficial to the student.

OLD STUDENTS

Old students to be eligible for admission on the next school term shall; a. have passed at least 70% of all enrolled units in the preceding semester b. have never been disciplined for grave violation of school rules and regulations.

RE-ADMISSION

– Former students of SMII who have not enrolled for one semester or longer must apply for re-admission by filing an application in the Registrar’s Office. If they obtained a transfer credential from SMII school , they will be admitted through the normal admission process outlined hereunder for transfer student s. If they discontinued their studies but did not obtain a transfer credentials, their application for re-admission will also be decided by the Registrar’s Office and the Dean of the College concerned.

FORMER STUDENTS

Former students who graduated from SMII and who wish to pursue another course may apply for re-admission in the admission’s office.

He shall present the ff. upon application:
a. letter of application addressed to the College Registrar
b. clearance from the office of the Dean
c. transcript of records; and he must take a transferee qualifying exam, except those who are graduates of five year courses.
